Pisidia Cultural Heritage Route

The Pisidia Cultural Heritage Route is the result of a comprehensive project that lasted for 5 years with the British Institute of Archaeology in Ankara (BIAA). While traveling this route, we visit the little-known cities of Pisidia such as Termessos, Ariassos, Sia, Adada, Selge and Pednelissos, as well as the magnificent nature of Köprülü Canyon. This is a magnificent region whose nature has never been spoiled, the roads have not been paved, the forests have not been cut down, and the Nomads still continue their traditional lives. Since there is also participation in our tour from abroad, this tour is guided in Turkish and English.

The paths and walks on our hiking tours may not be suitable for people who are used to walking on a flat road, the routes consist of steep descents and ascents, paths on stony and slippery ground, and easy forest paths in places.

Pisidia is the ancient name of the mountainous land in the north of Antalya. On this tour, we explore the Pisidia Mountains. We are going to get to know a whole new world on a brand new route!

This route, which has become famous in recent years as St. Paul's road, is actually a little different from the path followed by St. Paul. St. Paul, or St. Paul, arrived at the city of Pisidian Antiocheia (Yalvaç) by following the road connected Pamphylia to Pisidia and known today as the Döşeme Strait, via Bucak, following the road to Senirkent and Keçiborlu. On this tour, we will follow some of the ancient roads used by St. Paul while visiting many of the natural and ancient beauties of the ancient region of Pisidia.

Day 1 / Wednesday / Arrival / Termessos / Döşemealtı

We meet our guide at Antalya Airport at 09:00 in the morning at the latest and set off after a brief briefing about the tour. Our first stop is Termessos National Park. We go to the North Gate and North Nekrpole, where no one goes, and see the ancient roads of magnificent beauty. After having dinner at Antalya's famous meat-barbecue restaurant, stay overnight at the VIB hotel in Döşemealtı.

Day 2 / Thursday / Ariassos - Sia / Egirdir

This morning we are going on a very challenging and beautiful track. By following the paths still used by the nomads, we reach Ariassos by following the ancient road first through Erikli Plateau and then Akkoç. After visiting the ancient city of Ariassos, this time we arrive at the ancient city of Sia. After visiting the ancient city of Sia, we move to Eğirdir. Dinner at the famous Sudak restaurant by the lake and overnight stay in Eğirdir.

Day 3 / Friday / On the Island – Koprulu Canyon / Koprulu Canyon

Today we are going to Adada, another beautiful Pisidia city. After visiting the ancient city, we walk the ancient road of Adada, perhaps one of the best preserved ancient roads. After the walk, we take a walk to the Koprulu Canyon after a journey that will take about 4 hours with our vehicle. After this hike, we go to Koprulu Canyon National Park for dinner and accommodation. Accommodation in bungalows.

Day 4 / Saturday / Selge – Delisarnic – Çaltepe / Koprulu Canyon

Today we go to the ancient city of Selge in the morning, after visiting the ancient city, we follow the ancient roads and first reach Delisarnıç, which resembles a magnificent natural park, and then reach Çaltepe through the ancient roads. After this hike, we go to Koprulu Canyon National Park for dinner and accommodation. Accommodation in bungalows.

Day 5 / Sunday / Selge – Pednelissos / Returns

We start the day from the ancient city of Selge and go to Gökbel and from there to the ancient city of Pednelissos, passing through the nomadic paths and ancient roads from time to time. After visiting the ancient city of Pednelissos, we go to Antalya airport at around 19:00.
