Pisidian Off-Road Adventure
Visit Pisidia to see the Köprülü Canyon, Uçarsu Waterfall, Çandır Yazılı Canyon, Kovada Lake National Park, Eğirdir Lake, Davraz Kasnak Oak Forests and ancient cities like Pednelissos, Selge and Adada.
We are going on an adventure to discovered the Pisidian Mountains, located on the north of the Antalya Bay. This is a very untouched region due to its wild nature, reachable only by 4x4 vehicles or by foot.
Day 1 / Thursday / Arrivals / Köprülü Canyon National Park
We will meet at Antalya Airport at 10 AM and after a short briefing about the tour and the vehicles we will depart. Our first coffee break will be at the Uçarsu Waterfalls, followed by a visit to the ancient city of Pednelissos. After lunch at a village guest house we will cross the Green Valley (Yeşil Vadi) and arrive at the Köprülü Canyon National Park. Dinner and overnight in bungalow-hotel. (L/D)
Day 2 / Friday / Anamas Mountain / Ormana
Today we depart for a rather difficult but beautiful route. Using the old caravan routes we will reach the Başgölcük Yayla (highland) and then take a walk on a paved Roman road. Then following Kuyucak Yayla and Gembos Yayla we reach Oluk Yayla and continue to Ormana following the ancient caravan routes. Dinner and overnight in Ormana Buttoned Houses. (B/L/D)
Day 3 / Saturday / Dumanlı / Beydilli Eğirdir
Today’s route takes us to Çukurca via Dumanlı Yayla (highland). We will follow Köprüçay River’s northern-most sources and take the new road to Beydilli Yayla, finally reaching the ancient city of Adada, and from there to Eğirdir. Dinner will be at Sudak Restaurant on the riverside and overnight at Eğirdir (L)
Day 4 / Sunday / Kasnak Oak Forest / Kovada Lake National Park / Yazılı Canyon Nature Park / Karacaören Dam / Antalya
Crossing the highlands at an altitude of over 2000 meters, on the northern slopes of the Davraz Mountain we will reach the Kasnak Oak Forests (Quercus Vulcanica) located on the south-eastern peak of the mountain. After a coffee break around the 600 year old oak tree we will drive through the Yukarı Gökdere village to reach Kovada Lake National Park. After a picnic on the lake side we continue to drive up to the Yazılı Canyon Nature Park and time permitting take a walk in the forest. Then, driving along the Karacaören Dam we will arrive at Antalya Airport at ca 6 PM. (L)
